This was a faux beer label I made in Adobe Illustrator for the faux "Comanche Moon" brewery. I had read in "Empire of the Summer Moon" by S. C. Gwynne that a full moon in Texas was called a "Comanche Moon" because those would be nights when the Comanche tribes would conduct their raids across the land known as Comanchería — with the state of Texas composing most of this region.

Additionally, "Comanche Moon" was also one of the series installments of the Lonesome Dove saga—of which my father was a big enthusiast of. Finally, in brewer's circles, stout beers are known to be the strongest, i.e. highest alcohol content. Therefore, when imagining the label I wanted to incorporate moonlit imagery (the moon silhouette, the "Midnight" title) with the "sharp" theme of the fonts, arrows, and tomahawks to create an "on the warpath" vibe for a stout beer that will take your scalp off.
